GranuLac® 140
Premium milled alpha-lactose monohydrate – Ph. Eur., USP-NF, JP, ChP
Milled alpha-lactose monohydrate is widely used in wet and dry granulation, where finer particles have proven to be beneficial for solid dosage formulation. With a narrow particle size distribution (PSD), defined surface properties, and controlled density, it allows for precise modulation of compactibility, compressibility, porosity, and segregation tendency. Its brittle nature ensures good binding properties, consolidating primarily by fragmentation, making it an ideal choice for tablet production.

GranuLac® 140 is a milled lactose monohydrate grade containing sharp-edged lactose particles with cohesive characteristics that support wet and dry granulation processes. During compaction process, brittle fracture generates clean, unlubricated surfaces, enhancing the material’s compactibility.
