GranuLac® 200
Premium milled alpha-lactose monohydrate – Ph. Eur., USP-NF, JP, ChP
Milled alpha-lactose monohydrate is widely used in wet and dry granulation, where finer particles have proven to be beneficial for solid dosage formulations. With a narrow particle size distribution (PSD), defined surface properties, and controlled density, it allows for precise modulation of compactibility, compressibility, porosity, and segregation tendency. Its brittle nature ensures good binding properties, consolidating primarily by fragmentation, making it an ideal choice for tablet production.

GranuLac® 200 is a milled 200 mesh alpha-lactose monohydrate containing fine, sharp-edged lactose particles with cohesive powder properties that benefit wet and dry granulation processes. The brittle fracture mechanism during compaction process creates clean, unlubricated surfaces, improving overall compactibility. MEGGLE’s milled 200 mesh lactose grade is broadly utilized as diluent in dry and wet granulation by pharmaceutical producers worldwide.
